CAESAR AMBUSHED GLENN AND I at
a scenic overlook in Arizona's Petrified
Forest. Well, he didn't exactly ambush
us, but the episode was definitely
preplanned! A deep strange voice
came from under the van. Out waddled
Caesar, acting like he needed
something. Maybe he was thirsty in
this hot, dry climate! With my mother's
instinct, I grabbed a bag of grapes and
Caesar moved into the alert position.
He would point like a Labrador, run
down the grape and growl for another.
After 5 minutes, his comrade - in -
charms showed up. The pair quickly
popped the entire bag of grapes,
disgusting some of the nearby
tourists. Then, I spotted the "Please do
not Feed" sign. We drove to the next
overlook and guess who showed up
within a minute! I was out of grapes,
but they hung around anyway - just for
old times, I guess. As we finally drove
away, I yelled back at Caesar, "I'm
going to make you famous one day!
